Focus: Rhetoric and multimodality are the primary topics of this summer school.

Description:
As of 2013, the PALA summer school will be held before the PALA annual
conference, at the conference venue. This means that this year it will take
place at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. At past PALA summer school
events, only students were eligible to attend. This policy has been changed.
This year the summer school is open to all PALA members. We especially
encourage students (both undergraduate and graduate) and early career
researchers and scholars who live in countries with fragile currencies to
attend. The attendance fee is 100 Euros per person, to be paid via the PALA
2013 conference website. For all questions and queries, please contact the
conference organizers.

Registration Instructions:
Please note that the summer school will be limited to 25 participants and
places will be allocated on a first registered/paid basis. In case of
cancellation before June 01st 2013, a cancellation fee of 25 € will be
charged. In case of cancellation after June 01st 2013 or no-show,
reimbursement cannot be made. If you cancel your hotel booking, a cancellation
fee of the hotel might be charged depending on the hotel and the date of your
cancellation. Please visit the PALA website and click on the registration tab
