48th Annual International Conference on Salish and Neighbouring Languages

The University of Victoria Department of Linguistics is pleased to announce that the 48th Annual International Conference on Salish and Neighbouring Languages (ICSNL) will be held at the University of Victoria, Victoria, B.C. from Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11, 2013.

Call for Papers:

All papers relevant to the documentation, analysis, preservation, and teaching of Salish and neighbouring languages are welcome.

Deadline for receipt of papers:  May 15, 2013

All papers submitted by the deadline will appear in a volume of pre-prints, published by UBC Working Papers in Linguistics, and will be available at the conference.

For authors and presenters from last year’s ICSNL (2012): If your paper was late or did not otherwise appear in last year’s volume, we encourage you to submit these papers for inclusion in the current volume.

Please follow the formatting guidelines found on the ‘Style sheet for print volumes’ at the UBC Working Papers website: http://www.linguistics.ubc.ca/ubcwpl/authors#stylesheets.

Please submit your papers electronically in .pdf, .doc, or .odt format to ubcwpl at gmail.com by the deadline.
