Description:

The University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, seeks candidates for the
following tenure-track position in the Department of Foreign Languages:
Assistant/Associate Professor of Portuguese (Applied Linguistics).

Requirements: 
PhD in Portuguese, in the field of Applied Linguistics,second/foreign
language acquisition and/or teaching; working knowledge of Spanish and
English; teaching experience at the university level and native or near native
fluency in Portuguese; research in your area of specialization and
familiarity with recent developments in computer-assisted language teaching
and learning. Priority will be given to candidates who have prior experience
with coordinating teaching assistants (TA’s). Specific duties: Coordination
of the College of Humanities Language Teaching Assistants Program.

Evaluation will start on April 30, 2013 and applications will be received

academic vision, research areas and/or creative work, curriculum vitae, copies
of the academic transcripts for all your degrees, three recommendation
