Dear LINGUIST List Readers,

We are excited to announce a new feature: Review Articles. Review Articles
will be written by leading specialists in the field, on volumes that we
consider fundamentally important to the field of linguistics, or on
collections of books that have that status. These reviews will serve to
provide a state-of-the-art assessment of a subfield, or a theory or question
in the field as a whole.

Review Articles will situate work in a full context, i.e. with reference to
recent and ongoing work well beyond the specific volume(s) under review. This
may include reviewing key debates within a given area, identifying gaps in
research, and current trends in research.

Review articles will be by invitation only, and will be considerably longer
than regular reviews, up to 10,000 words.

The LINGUIST List Reviews Team looks forward to bringing you this new feature.
We expect that it will be a useful and thought-provoking resource for both
professional linguists and students in linguistics.

Best Regards,

The LINGUIST List Reviews Team
