Description:

The Department of English Studies at the Faculty of Humanities is seeking to
appoint a Professor of Applied English Linguistics (40 hours per week;
permanent employment according to the Austrian Law on Salaried Employment
(AngG); expected starting date 01 January 2014).

The appointee will teach and engage in research in the area of English
linguistics with an emphasis on applied linguistics. Applicants are expected
to be specialized in applied English linguistics and to have expertise in a
core area of linguistics. In addition, the appointee is expected to become
involved in the research areas of the Department of English Studies and the
Faculty of the Humanities. We also expect competence in the field of gender
mainstreaming.

The minimum salary according to the classification scheme of the University
Collective Agreement (A1) is EUR 4571.20 gross per month. Salary subject to
negotiation.
