Assistant Professor of Chinese Language and Linguistics 

The Dept of East Asian Languages and Literatures at The George Washington
University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor
position in Chinese Language and Linguistics, to start preferably in Fall
2013.

Qualifications: 
PhD in Chinese language or linguistics or a related field, native or near
native fluency in Chinese and English, and evidence of excellence in teaching
and research. ABD applicants will be considered but must complete all
requirements for the Ph.D. by August 1, 2013.

below and upload cover letter, C.V., scholarly work samples, teaching
philosophy, sample course evaluation summaries and sample syllabi. (Those who
have made the first round successfully will be asked to submit transcripts,
sample lesson plans, and a 30-min teaching demo video and should be able to do
so immediately upon request. Three letters of reference will be asked from
individuals invited for campus interviews only.) Contact the Department chair
