Meeting Description:

1st International Conference on Language Literature and Cultural Studies (ICLLCS) is an interdisciplinary conference focusing on the exploration of a broad range of language and cultural themes, bringing together innovative and illuminating presentations relevant to the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community and beyond.

The conference will run from 8:00 to 17:00 on Thursday 22 - Friday 23 August 2013, and from 8:00 am to 13:30 on Saturday 24 August 2013. A welcome reception is planned for Thursday evening. Sightseeing in Pattaya and surrounding area will be arranged for Saturday afternoon after the closing ceremony.

Main Theme: Language, Literature and Cultural Studies
Sub-themes for Oral or Poster Presentations:

We invite submissions for abstracts for 20-minute presentations in any area related to literature, language, linguistics, and culture, including but not limited to:

- Linguistics
- Comparative linguistics 
- Language acquisition and learning
- Innovation in language teaching and learning
- Language teaching methodology
- Language curriculum development
- Language testing and assessment
- Social, cultural, and political contexts of language teaching
- Cross-cultural communication 
- Language for communication 
- Translation studies
- Contemporary literature
- Comparative literature
- Literature and other arts
- Literature teaching 
- Approaches to literature  

Formatting Guidelines:    

An abstract (250-300 words) should be submitted as an email attachment to icllcs at buu.ac.th by 30 June 2013. In your email, please include your name, affiliation, phone number, title of paper, main theme and sub-theme of your paper, and your bio data (50 words).

Abstract Submission Guidelines:  

- MS Word (send only with .doc format) 
- Filename: name_datemonthyear.doc (example: avarun_14June2013.doc) 

Alternatively, abstracts can be sent online at http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/ICLLCS2013.  

After a review process, notifications will be sent within two weeks of submission.  Accepted abstracts will be published in the proceeding. Each participant can submit only one abstract as an individual author or with a co-author. Each presenter/attendee should pay the registration fee by 10 August 2013.
