Description:

Queen Mary's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is embarking on the
latest phase of strategic investment to recruit excellent researchers and
teachers who can contribute to the achievement of its ambitious and exciting
plans, and intends to appoint a Lecturer in Hispanic Linguistics who will be
located within the department of Iberian and Latin American Studies in the
School of Languages, Linguistics and Film. Fluency in either Spanish or
Portuguese as well as English is required. The ability to teach across the
spectrum of Hispanic Linguistics may be an advantage.

The post is full-time and permanent. The successful candidate should be able
to take up his or her appointment from 1 September 2013 or as soon as possible
thereafter. Salary will be in the range £38,197to £43,787 per annum inclusive
of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, final salary
pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in
accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where
required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under
the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
