Language is an aspect that cannot be separated from our lives. People use language to communicate and make some relations with other people. Moreover, language also plays an important role in this globalization era. Hence, mastering one language is not enough to face the new world because there is no longer border that can hinder information and communication around the world. Therefore, the need to master other languages is so important that people are able to take part in this new era.

Theme: Showing Identity through Language

Sub-themes:

Using English as a medium to preserve Asian culture 
The impact of English on the process of enculturation of cultures in Asia 
The impact of digital media on the coining new words 
The impact of colonialism on the development of national language 
The impact of TV series/ music on the interest in learning foreign language 
The phenomena of code-switching in the adolescence 
Other topics relevant to the theme are considered 

Paper Requirements:

The complete paper (including the abstract) should be written in quarto or A4 paper, single space, Times New Roman, font 11, in Ms. Word file.

RECEIPT_COMPLETE NAME_UNIV. NAME_PAPER TITLE

Abstract should be submitted in Ms. Word file at the latest May 22, 2013.
All abstracts will be reviewed by UC Committee.
The authors of selected abstracts will be notified at the latest May 27, 2013.
Full paper should be submitted in Ms. Word file at the latest June 22, 2013.
Registration form will be sent by UC Committee along with the abstract notification.
