The aim of Caucasiologists’ 3rd international congress ‘Multiculturalism and Tolerance in the Caucasus’ is to discuss the Caucasus as a particular region in terms of multiculturalism; To highlight the lingua-cultural model of the unity of the peoples in the Caucasus including of three principal components: 1. Ibero-Caucasian; 2. Areal Caucasian; 3. Paleo-Caucasian.

Congress topics are defined in the framework of the cultural diversity and tolerance in the Caucasus including but not limited to:

I. The Caucasus: self-identity
II. Issues of interrelationship between traditional culture and human rights of the peoples in the Caucasus
III. Linguistic and cultural diversity in the Caucasus region and tolerance
IV. Cultural diversity of the Caucasus region and globalization

Conference registration fee: $40

Call for Papers:

Papers will be presented either in the form of sessions or posters. Participating in the work of the congress is possible in either the form of sessions or posters.

Working languages: Georgian, English, Russian

Deadline for abstract submission: July 30, 2013
Notification of acceptance: August 23, 2013
Deadline for paper submission: September 25, 2013
 
Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Volume: not exceeding 500 words in two working languages 
Fonts: Sylfaen for Georgian; Times New Roman for English and Russian versions
Font size: 12 pt; line spacing 1,5
Format: both Ms Word and PDF
 
Abstracts written in Russian, English or Georgian should be sent to the following email address: congress at tsu.ge.
 
Format:

Plenary session report: 25 minutes
Presentation: 20 minutes
Sectional meeting report: 20 minutes
Discussion: 5 minutes

Proceedings of the congress will be published in the international trilingual scientific journal ‘Caucaisologic Papers’.
