Applications are invited for:
The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages
Senior Lecturer(s) / Lecturer(s) / Assistant Lecturer(s)

Applicants should have (i) a higher degree (at least at master level) in
linguistics or a related discipline; and (ii) experience in teaching courses
in different areas of linguistics, preferably at university level. Applicants
with at least four years post-masters teaching experience may be considered
for appointment at lecturer rank, and those with substantial (ten years or
longer) post-masters teaching experience may be considered for appointment at
senior lecturer rank.

The appointees will:
- Teach undergraduate/postgraduate courses
- Supervise research projects of undergraduate and MA students
- Undertake administrative duties

For Senior Lecturer: Appointments will initially be made on contract basis for
up to three years commencing August 2013, renewable subject to performance,
funding and mutual agreement.

For Lecturer or Assistant Lecturer: Appointments will initially be made on
contract basis for up to two years commencing August 2013, renewable subject
to performance, funding and mutual agreement.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:
Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and
experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package,
including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for appointments of two
years or longer. For senior lecturer, housing benefits are available for
eligible appointees.
