Meeting Description:

Pragmatics Meets Semantics Symposium
15-16 November 2013, Griffith University, Southbank, Brisbane

Semantics and pragmatics are seen as very closely related disciplines within linguistics and yet considerable gaps remain in their approaches to theorising as well as their analytical methodologies. The aim of this symposium is to not only consider ongoing research at the semantics-pragmatics interface, but to examine more broadly how research in pragmatics can inform semantics and how research in semantics can inform pragmatics.
