Description:

The Department of Modern Languages and Translation of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), invites applications for a tenure-track position in English Linguistics, to commence on June 1, 2014, or as agreed upon with the University. Appointment is subject to approval by the relevant authority.

Duties will include teaching, research, community service as well as program coordination and academic advisement.

Suitably qualified candidates will hold a PhD (or solid indication of imminent completion) in Applied Linguistics (English) with specialization in the Teaching of English as a second Language, experience in teaching and university research in English linguistics, grammar and language theory and practice, and an interest in collaborative teaching and related support tools.

French/English bilingualism is essential.

UQTR is a young vibrant university with a very human dimension. The University’s 200 program offerings – some unique to Quebec and Canada – and its cutting-edge research are a testimony to the expertise of the UQTR community.

Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

Salary is commensurate with the current collective agreement.
