We invite you to contribute papers to the second issue of Brief - Online Journal of Snippets.
Brief is an open access online journal of short academic texts (so­called "snippets") published under the auspices of Maria Curie­-Skłodowska University of Lublin, Poland. It endeavors to serve as a repository of research prompts in various fields of Cognitive Linguistics. Specific areas of interest include but are not limited to: 

- cognitive grammar and construction grammar 
- mental spaces and conceptual blending 
- conceptual metaphor and metonymy 
- iconicity in language 
- intercultural studies from cognitive perspective
- cognitive pragmatics 
- frame semantics 
- subjectification 
- cognitive sociolinguistics 
- cognitive stylistics

Papers (approximately 500 words) should be sent by December 31, 2013 to submissions at brief.umcs.eu
