Description:

Tenure-track position beginning 9/1/2014. Applicants must have solid training in Hispanic linguistics and in Variationist Sociolinguistics, with research and teaching expertise in syntax or morphology. Demonstrated ability to teach historical linguistics at graduate and undergraduate levels in addition to teaching and mentoring in the research specialty is highly desirable. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the application of corpus-based methodologies, computer analytical tools, or quantitative methods to the study of language. The requirements for the PhD must be completed by the position start date, 9/1/2014.
