Description:

Morehead State University seeks applications for a 3-year post-doctoral research associate in an NIH-funded project on prosody and sentence processing. The project, under director Katy Carlson, is researching the role of accents and boundaries in syntactic attachment. The candidate will aid in carrying out auditory and visual experiments (recruitment, setup, running, analysis, presentation, write-up). Further, the applicant will teach one undergraduate linguistics course per semester. Anticipated start date could be as early as January 13, 2014; latest start date would be August 2014. 

Qualifications: Ph.D. in linguistics, psychology, or related field required. Previous experimental experience required; training in prosody desirable but not required. Review of applications will begin November 15, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
