Description:

The Program in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Dartmouth College emphasizes excellence in undergraduate teaching and research. We are seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in linguistics to begin on July 1, 2014. The successful applicant will have a strong record of field-based research in phonetics and phonology utilizing primary linguistic data from understudied/underdocumented languages. The position involves teaching a wide range of courses in linguistics, including in areas outside of one’s specialization, advising theses and other undergraduate research, and engaging in an active research program.
