Description:

Adelphi University, chartered in 1896, was the first institution of higher education for liberal arts and sciences on Long Island. Adelphi’s Ruth S. Ammon School of Education is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in TESOL/Bilingual Education. 

Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree in TESOL, Bilingual Education, Applied Linguistics or closely related field; three years relevant teaching experience in TESOL or Bilingual Education; and a demonstrated commitment to diverse populations.  

Preferred requirements include a doctoral degree in relevant field and experience in one of the following areas: bilingual special education, teaching ESL to adults, EFL methods, training others in mentoring and supervision, or online teaching. 

Responsibilities include teaching graduate classes, advisement, and student teaching supervision of graduate students at both Long Island (Garden City) and Manhattan locations.
