Final Call for Papers:

We are inviting papers on any topic concerning formal accounts of meaning and/or grammatical structure. Particularly, we invite work exploring core aspects of the organization of linguistic knowledge and interface phenomena – work on the interface areas of syntax-semantics, semantics-pragmatics, syntax-pragmatics, syntax-prosody, pragmatics-prosody, morphology-semantics, and similar connections.

Abstracts are invited for oral presentations (20-minute presentation plus 10-minute discussion) on any topic concerning formal accounts to meaning and structure in natural language.

In addition, the workshop will be hosting a poster session. We especially encourage undergraduate and graduate students to participate.

Abstracts should be at most two pages long (A4 paper), including examples and references, with 1 inch/2.5 cm margins on all sides and Times New Roman 12pt font.

The abstract should have a title but should not identify the author(s). Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author. Abstracts should be written in English.

Anonymous abstracts are to be submitted electronically, in PDF format, using Easy Abstracts tools, at the following address: http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/workshop-ufrgs.

When you submit your abstract, you will be asked to indicate whether you would like it to be considered (i) for a talk only, or (ii) for a talk or a poster.

The deadline for submitting an abstract is May 15, 2014.

The notification of acceptance will be sent by email to the authors by June 15, 2014.
