Description:

We are seeking language professionals such as linguists, translators, interpreters, language instructors, and/or lexicographers to work on our dictionaries for the languages:

German - English
French - English
Spanish - English
Portuguese - English
Japanese - English

You will work on a freelance basis from home using an online editing program.

According to your experience tasks include:
- Grammatical information, e.g. inflections, verb valency, gender, part of speech
- Examples for vocabulary entries in our dictionary
- Evaluation of translations

The candidates we seek:
- Have excellent proficiency in one of the language pairs listed above
- Are native speakers of one (or both) language(s)
- Are experienced in working with texts (proofreading, linguistic analysis, and/or translation)
- Frequently use the internet
- Have a keen eye for grammatical and orthographic details
- Have a strong feeling for language

An advanced degree in Linguistics and/or Literature is definitely a plus.

Furthermore, we frequently offer student jobs for linguistics, translation, or philology students who are highly proficient in any of the above language pairs listed.
