Communication Studies and Language Pedagogy - CSLP
(Vol. 01, No. 01, Jan-Jun 2014)

Communication Studies and Language Pedagogy - CSLP (ISSN 2347-2014), a peer-reviewed international journal, is soliciting original work on or related to the scientific investigation of language, speech, communication, and pedagogy. The journal endears to feature development of research, applications and innovations on education and language that improve the teaching performance, provide solutions, share empirical findings, and place points of inquiries in a historical and epistemological perspective.

Works exploring the realm of language and communication as being crucial for understanding cognition, interaction, and culture; knowledge within language; ICT, professional communication, Web-based language learning, communications technology, language pedagogy, and interdisciplinary efforts towards developing contacts across languages and cultures are of particular interest. The coming together of the world has brought about a revolution in the ways and means of human interaction today, most of which are increasingly taking place in a virtual world, across distances and cultures - more and more people are speaking one language, eating one food, using one currency, and watching one movie. Besides, English as a global language and its uses in intercultural communication, historical, and political dimensions of varieties of English around the world, experiential grounding in strategies for increasing communicative competence are some of the areas defining the scope of this jou!
 rnal.

Work on educational settings, classroom research, and language education measuring the effectiveness of language teaching practices, in particular, in second-language acquisition, current challenges of teaching in multilingual settings, and studies from a pragmatic and interpersonal point of view as relating to the communicative exchanges are very relevant, especially studies covering cross-cultural communication and other social approaches. We intend to showcase research and successful teaching practices, thereby bettering the educational experiences of language learners by providing an environment that nurtures interaction between theory, research and practice. The goal is to promote genuine discussion and cross-pollination between various disciplines and research traditions, their theories, methods, and data. This journal's strength derives from the diversity of the research undertaken, with emphasis on the emerging research themes.

The papers should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief, to his e-mail with a copy of the same to the Founder Editors' e-mails as well. Manuscripts should not exceed 8000 words - including abstract, endnotes, references, and tables if any. Tables and figures should be included in the running text. Submission of an article is taken to imply that it has not been previously published or is not being considered for publication elsewhere. The last date of submission for the articles is March 30, 2014. For the preparation of manuscripts, refer to the "Guidelines for Submission" link on our website www.bahripublications.in
