Call for Papers - 2014 issue (general issue)

The new editors of Alicante Journal of English Studies / Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses (RAEI), Isabel Balteiro and Miguel Ángel Campos, are making a new Call for Papers for our 2014 volume. The deadline for the submission of proposals is May 31st, 2014.

RAEI, founded in 1988, is published once a year in December, and welcomes original submissions from scholars working in all fields related to English Studies (linguistics, literature, language teaching, cultural studies, translation).

The types of submissions accepted include:
1. Scholarly articles: 8,000-12,000 words in length, subject to a blind peer review process.
2. Book reviews: around 1,500-2000 words, of books published within two years of the date of submission.

Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses is indexed in the following citation databases, amongst others: MLA International Bibliography, Linguistics Abstracts, Languages and Literatures, Periodicals Index Online, Dialnet, ISOC (CSIC database) and Bibliographie Linguistique (BL Online).

RAEI is internationally delivered, with a 8.25 rating according to DICE (Difusión y Calidad de las Revistas Españolas de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas).

Prestigious authors from different Spanish and foreign universities have contributed to RAEI with their research. The rate of international coverage is 26.67 according to DICE (Difusión y Calidad de las Revistas Españolas de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas). The EA 2004-0059 Project (issued by Dirección General de Universidades), ranks RAEI as second among the Spanish Journals within the same academic field of English Studies. The European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH), published by the European Science Foundation, ranks RAEI with a NAT category.
