Call for papers for inclusion in a Special Issue on African Politeness

Guest Editors:
Sinfree Makoni (Penn State University)
and
Abdennour Kharraki (Mohammed University)

Abstracts of 500 words should be submitted to: Politeness.Research at degruyter.com by February 7th 2014. Abstracts will be reviewed by the guest editors and authors may be invited to submit a full draft paper by May 6th 2014

Papers should be on some aspect of politeness in African languages and/or used by African speakers of European languages. Papers on North African and Sub-Saharan African languages and cultures are welcome. Papers should be of high quality, taking into account and contributing to recent developments in Politeness Theory.
