Faculty of Humanities

Faculty of Humanities seeks applications for a full-time academic position at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. Appointee will be responsible for teaching duties, contributing to programme development, engaging in departmental & school services, pursuing active research & publication agenda including application for research funding from external sources.

Applicants should have doctoral degree in linguistics or related discipline with successful record of research & teaching. Preferences will be given to those who specialize in one or more of the following areas: discourse analysis, cognitive linguistics or computational linguistics. Capacity in conducting interdisciplinary linguistic research will be an advantage. Fresh PhD holders/PhD students in their final year with good potential in research may be considered as Lecturer.  Applicants with strong record of research and publications will be considered as Associate Professor.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Initial appointment will be made on fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Fringe benefits include leave/medical/dental benefits and where applicable, housing benefits.
