Media and Intercultural Communication in the European Context

The Conference shall be held at the North-Caucasus Federal University (venue: 1, Pushkin Street, Stavropol, Russia 355009). Languages: Russian, English, German. A volume of articles shall be published prior to the conference.

The activities to be held include master-classes delivered by the leading Russian and foreign experts with respective certificates awarded to the participants (for more details, please see Newsletter №2). The participants shall be also offered a tour to the Caucasus Mineral Waters area (Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk).

The participants shall be offered accommodation (dormitories; appr. cost – 1,000 RUR per day). All the expenses related to the trip shall be covered by the referring party.

2. Modern ways of communication in the internet
3. Migration, interculturality, and the media
4. Spiritual & moral criteria for the modern media
5. Language dynamics in the mass media
6. Factors and means for balanced intercultural communication
7. Translation as a way for cultural interaction and mutual culture enrichment

Applications should contain: full name, employer & position, scientific degree, email and correspondence address, accommodation preference (if needed), theme field, title of speech, and abstracts (up to 400 words). Applications should be submitted by email to: olepilkina at ncfu.ru.
