Meeting Description:

We have great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the Second International Conference on Linguistics, Literature and Cultural studies in Modern Languages that will be held in Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) in Spain from 10-12 September 2014.

In this second edition, we would like to focus specifically on the teaching and learning of a foreign language through linguistics, literature and cultural studies at all educational levels.

The conference aims to bring together language teachers, researchers, postgraduate students and anyone interested in modern languages. The program will include plenary lectures, parallel sessions and posters.

We have the privilege to count with three keynote invited speakers:

- James Milton (Applied Linguistics Department, Swansea University)
- José Carlos Periñán Pascual (Departamento de Lingüística Aplicada, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia)
- Antonio Ballesteros González (Departamento de Filologías Extranjeras y sus Lingüísticas, UNED)

Registration fees are detailed below:

- Speakers: 90 euros
- Attendees: 45 euros

Call for Papers:

Proposals for oral presentations and posters should be 300-500 words in length, references included. The form for the submission can be found on the conference website (https://sites.google.com/a/ucam.edu/cillec-ii/). Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in duration plus 10 minutes for questions and discussion.

We would like to invite researchers to submit their original contributions in Spanish, English or French, the official languages of the event. Deadline for proposals is 1 May 2014.

There will be three panels:

- Linguistics
- Literature
- Cultural studies

Contributions must be sent to the following addresses:

mmjimenez at ucam.edu o mijimenez213 at ucam.edu (literature and cultural studies)

Two different publications are due. Those contributions related to Computer-Assisted Language Learning may be published in the e-journal CORELL (http://www.ucam.edu/corell). The rest of the speakers will have the chance to send the full text of their contributions to be published as a book chapter.
