Meeting Description:

This workshop aims to cover a broad range of research concerned with any linguistic topics relevant to psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics. We will be especially interested in the theme of meaning and cognition. 

The workshop is followed by the regular KSLI summer conference (21 June 2014) that addresses any linguistic topics in general.

Call for Papers: 

2014 Korean Society for Language and Information Workshop on Meaning and Cognition
Location: Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea
Date: 20 June 2014 - 21 June 2014

We invite the submission of abstracts (for paper presentations) addressing aspects of meaning and cognition. 

The themes that the workshop is interested in will be: 

- Syntactic/semantic processing
- Information structure
- Experiments in linguistics
- Cognitive modeling
- Language acquisition
- Computational linguistics

In addition to these themes, submissions on other aspects of the field are also welcome. 

Talks will be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions and discussion. The language of the workshop is English and the language of the regular conference is Korean or English. 

Abstracts of no more than 300 words (less than 1 page, excluding references) should be submitted to ksli2014 at ksli.or.kr. The deadline for abstract submission is 31 March 2014. Notification of acceptance will be communicated by 10 May 2014. 

Abstracts must be strictly anonymous, and should be submitted in plain text and/or PDF format. If you need to use phonetic characters, please make sure that they are displayed correctly.
