Description:

The Department of Modern Languages (http://modernlanguages.olemiss.edu/) and the Croft Institute for International Studies (http://www.croft.olemiss.edu/) at the University of Mississippi invite applications for a one-year Visiting Croft Assistant Professor of Spanish. 

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. with specialization in applied linguistics, second-language acquisition or language pedagogy at the time of appointment and will demonstrate native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish, excellence in teaching and familiarity with ACTFL Guidelines. 

Duties will include teaching a mix of upper-level classes for both Croft students in Spanish and students taking regular courses in the Department of Modern Languages that include courses in Spanish language, Spanish linguistics and/or the candidate’s area of expertise.
