Second call for papers

Globe: A Journal of Language, Culture and Communication is a forthcoming interdisciplinary peer reviewed open source journal which seeks to publish original research articles of high quality in language, linguistics, culture studies, and communication studies. Globe is anchored at Aalborg University in Denmark and is managed by members of two research groups in language and communication. The inaugural issue is scheduled for publication in January 2015, and will consist of a thematic section, an open section, and a section for book reviews.

The topic of the thematic section of the inaugural issue is language and identity such as, for instance, relations between language and identity, language- or variety specific identity markers, constructions of identity in discourse, or construals of the concept of identity itself in and across discourses.

The open section and the review section are not thematically restricted, and we welcome contributions for these within all aspects of the general scope of the journal. The editorial team hereby invites researchers within linguistics, cultural studies, and communication studies (and related fields) to submit contributions in English, Spanish, German, or Danish (which are the publication languages of the journal) to all three sections of the inaugural issue.

Deadline for submissions to inaugural issue: August 15, 2014

Globe is published by Aalborg University Press via the OJS platform which allows for very easy on-line submission and tracking of submitted articles.
