The Fakultät Kulturwissenschaften at TU Dortmund University invites applications for the position of 
W3 Professorship - English Linguistics commencing 1st October, 2015. The successful applicant will teach and conduct research in the subject area. 

Successful applicants should have international recognition and cover the field of English linguistics in its entirety, including theoretical and descriptive linguistics as well as diachronic and synchronic linguistics. 

Excellent research performance and experience in raising research funds is required. Cooperation in interdisciplinary projects within and outside the Fakultät Kulturwissenschaften is expected. Working knowledge of German is desirable.

Successful applicants are required to teach and examine in all programs offered by the Department of English and American Studies.

It is assumed that the successful applicant will take on tasks of academic self-governance.

Preconditions for employment are specified in § 36 HG of the state of NRW.
