The Department of English at the Faculty of Education, Purkyně University, is pleased to announce its sixth international conference for academics and practitioners involved in educating teachers of foreign languages. 

CHALLENGES is an ongoing series of conferences organized by the English Department at Purkyně University (UJEP). The main aim of the conference is to share current views, new trends, innovative ideas and experience in foreign language teaching and teacher education.

Call for Papers:

Further, we encourage submissions from graduate students whose research and practice fall broadly under the cover terms of ELT, TESL/TEFL, and applied linguistics as well as cultural and literary studies. The plenaries will be held by internationally renowned researchers.

Abstract submissions pertaining, but not limited, to the following key terms are welcome:

- Applied linguistics & education
- ELT methodology
- Cultural studies and teaching
- Literary studies and teaching

Abstracts:

Abstracts should be around 200 words, not including examples and references. Abstract submissions should be made through EasyAbs:
