Meeting Description:

A conference on Nordic Intercultural Communication will be held at the University of Iceland 26-28 November 2014, as part of the network Nordic Intercultural Communication (NIC).

The conference is organized by the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institue of Foreign Languages at the University of Iceland and held as part of the network, Nordic Intercultural Communication (NIC).

Andreas F. Kelletat
Karen Risager

Venue and Accommodation:

The conference venue will be Radisson Blu Saga Hotel close to the University of Iceland campus and Reykjavík city centre. 

Rooms at preferential rates have been pre-booked at the Radisson Blu Saga Hotel for conference participants. The hotel rates and booking instructions will be made available shortly.

Call for Papers:

The NIC 2014 conference will discuss Intercultural Communication from various standpoints, such as

- Intercultural Communication in Academia
- Language, Culture and Communication within the Nordic Region
- Intercultural Communication and Translation

Other topics and themes related to intercultural communication are also welcome.

Those who wish to participate are invited to submit their abstracts (max. 300 words) by 1 October 2014 to gudrunkr at hi.is
