On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Department of Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, we have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the international academic conference Encompassing Comparative Literature: Theory, Interpretation, Perspectives.

Regarding the tradition of literary and theoretical research, as well as the tradition of teaching comparative literature at the University of Belgrade, we would like to celebrate the anniversary with academic discussions and presentations of papers dealing with the following topics: 

1. Comparative Literature between Cultural Studies and Philology 
2. Trans-cultural phenomena: National Traditions and Comparative Literature
3. Comparative Literature and the New Worlds (challenges of the new geography, new theories and terminologies, gender theories, digital humanities, transmedia studies) 
4. In Dialogue with Canonic Authors / Canonic Authors in Dialogue
