Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher whose research focus is on formal semantics. The successful applicants will have a strong background in formal semantics, and expertise in closely related research areas (e.g., computational semantics, philosophy of language) is also desirable.

The position is to be filled on October 1, 2014 and the initial appointment is until September 30, 2015 (with the possibility of extension for up to 4 years). Salary is on the German scale TV-L E13, %100. 

Application and selection process

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree (or an equivalent degree) by the time of application. For full consideration, send an application and arrange to have three letters of reference sent by July 15, 2014 to the application email address below.

Letters of reference may be sent in scanned form. Later applications may be considered as well, until the position has been filled. 

The application materials should include a CV, a brief statement of research interests (up to 4 pages), as well as links to papers, or electronic versions thereof.  The subject line should read ‘Formal Semantics Postdoc’.
