Meeting Description:

The Sixth International Conference on Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT 2015) is organised in Leuven, Belgium, from 16 September to 18 September.

Conference Themes:

The conference theme is Tasks for Real. We are particularly interested in proposals that focus on: 

- Tasks that encourage language learning for real-life purposes
- Tasks that emphasize meaning-making
- The authentic use of tasks in the classroom

Call for Papers:

The organizers of the Sixth International Conference on Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT 2015) would like to invite proposals that focus on meaningful tasks for language learning and assessment, both inside and outside the classroom. We welcome papers, workshops, colloquia, and show-and-tell talks. Researchers, teacher educators, policy makers, teachers, syllabus and materials designers, and test developers are encouraged to submit proposals to the conference. 

Relevant Themes Include:

1. Tasks in naturalistic language learning
2. TBLT in real classrooms
3. Task features, task design and syllabus development
4. Interaction in the classroom and in real-life learning environments
5. Task-based assessment
6. TBLT implementation and innovation strategies
7. The role of the teacher and teacher training
8. Technology-mediated TBLT
9. Learner autonomy, motivation and individual learner differences
10. Evaluating task-based instruction, materials, and programs
11. Needs analysis in TBLT
