Abstract:

Die Studie stellt einen Ansatz vor, durch welchen das Lehren und Lernen von
Fremdsprachen im Grundschulunterricht intensiviert werden kann. Auf der Basis
empirischer Erkenntnisse zum Lernen im Regelschulunterricht sowie unter
Berücksichtigung bilingualer, immersiver und reformpädagogischer Ansätze
werden realistische Ziele und Erfolg versprechende Prinzipien des
fremdsprachlichen Lernens in der Grundschule hergeleitet. Auf dieser Grundlage
wird ein Modell transcurricularen Lernens entwickelt, welches im Rahmen der
geltenden Curricula den fremdsprachlichen Unterricht mit den Sachfächern
verknüpft, indem Inhalte fächerübergreifend thematisiert werden. Zusätzlich
profitiert die Entwicklung der sprachlichen (sowie der sachfachlichen)
Kompetenzen durch einen gezielten Einbezug von Herkunfts-und Schulsprachen.
Diese Publikation bietet die theoretische Herleitung und Begründung des
Modells auf der Grundlage einschlägiger Studien aus dem Bereich des
fremdsprachlichen Lehrens und Lernens der Grundschule ebenso wie einen
praktischen Ausblick mit Hinweisen zur Umsetzung im Unterricht. Eine
Handreichung für Lehrkräfte skizziert in sieben Schritten den Weg zum
transcurricularen Lernen, der durch eine tabellarische Darstellung von drei
Unterrichtsmodulen verdeutlicht wird.
