We would like to congratulate Dr Stephen Evans and Dr Carmen Perez-Llantada on their jointly being awarded the Horowitz Prize for the best article published in English for Specific Purposes in 2013 as chosen by the journal's editorial board.

The winning articles are entitled (respectively) “Just wanna give you guys a bit of an update”: Insider perspectives on business presentations in Hong Kong (http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.esp.2013.05.003) and The Article of the future: Strategies for genre stability and change (http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.esp.2013.06.004) and are available to read for free until the end of the year.
