The conference focusses on systemic linguistic and sociolinguistic peculiarities of German language minorities from the research perspectives of variationist linguistics and the studies of language contact and multilingualism. A special point of interest is research on language minorities in North and South America. Yet presentations on other (language)contact situations are welcome as well.
