Description:

Toyama Prefectural University is a small public engineering college located in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate English courses and Advanced Academic English courses at the graduate level. He/she will also have a freshman seminar. 

Requirements are:
1. MA or Ph.D. (Ph.D. preferred but ABD considered) in Linguistics, Language Acquisition, Psycholinguistics, Sociolinguistics, TESL and other related areas.
2. A strong interest in English language teaching.
3. Strong commitment to research in his/her area of specialty. 
4. If not a native Japanese speaker, must have adequate ability to handle communication with university 
administration. 
5. Willingness to participate in English departmental meetings if necessary.

Salary: Commensurable with the standards set by the prefecture.
