Meeting Description:

The first International Phonology Meeting, to be held in Ferrara on 9-10 October 2014, intends to give to scholars concerned with generative linguistics an opportunity for discussion, on such research areas as the place of phonology in the grammar and the primes and nature of phonological representations. 
The meeting’s aim is to point out questions that are empirically and theoretically crucial for research in phonology in the mid and long term.

Call for Papers:

We invite the submission of abstracts addressing one of the following topics:

i. Phonology in the architecture of the language faculty
ii. Phonological phenomena and models of explanation

There will be a poster session during the Meeting. Please specify in your abstract whether your submission is ment for a talk, for a poster or for both.

Talks will be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions and discussion. 

The language of the conference is English. 

Abstracts of no more than 1500 characters (excluding references) should be submitted in pdf or doc format, and sent to the address: laura.bafile at unife.it. 

Important Dates:

Deadline for abstract submission: 15 July 2014.
Notification of acceptance: 30 July 2014.
