It is our pleasure to inform you that the English Department, Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade is preparing the sixth issue of the academic journal entitled Belgrade English Language and Literature Studies (Belgrade BELLS).

Belgrade English Language and Literature Studies (Belgrade BELLS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal issued by the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, Serbia.

The journal Belgrade Bells comes out annually. The first issue was published in December 2009, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the English Department in Belgrade. 

The aim of the journal is to offer an international forum for current investigations in English theoretical and applied linguistics as well as anglophone literary and cultural studies. 

Since the year 2014 marks the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth, the Belgrade BELLS editorial team has decided to devote the sixth issue of the Belgrade BELLS journal to Shakespeare and the Renaissance. Wishing to promote high academic standards and cross-fertilization of ideas throughout a broad academic community, we encourage authors to enrich the sixth issue of the Belgrade BELLS journal with contributions - a paper (up to 10.000 words) on Shakespeare and the Renaissance. Belgrade BELLS welcomes original research papers, book reviews, scholarly interviews and commentaries on the proposed topic. 

All previous issues of the Journal along with the instructions for authors are available on the following website: http://www.belgrade.bells.fil.bg.ac.rs/
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to: belgrade.bells at gmail.com
Deadline for the submissions: 1st August 2014.
The sixth issue of Belgrade BELLS is expected to come out in December 2014.
