Project Duration: 2-3 weeks (remotely or in person in Gdansk, Poland), plus
occasional remote availability for an additional 2 months for follow-ups on
the job.

Expected start date: December 8th 2014

Job Description:

As a voice coach for Japanese, you will be in charge of defining the correct
pronunciations and phonemic transcriptions for a text which will be read by
our voice talents.  

You will be working either remotely or in person in a recording studio in
Gdansk, Poland for 2-3 weeks. You will be monitoring the recording process of
Japanese TTS (text-to-speech) voices. You will work alongside voice talents
and audio engineers.

You will be assessing the quality of our Japanese voice talent(s). This
requires the ability to recognize possible presence of speech impediments,
recognize non-standard features in speech and, most importantly, ability to
determine whether what the voice talent reads exactly corresponds to what is
written in our script. You must be able to read a phonetic transcription and
correct errors should they be present.

Required:

- Native speaker of Japanese
- Fluent in English
- Degree in Linguistics, preferably with specialization in Phonetics/Phonology
- Highly familiar with phonetic transcriptions
