Department Head and Associate/Professor of Spanish, Modern and Classical
Languages

The University of Wyoming (UW) Department of Modern and Classical Languages
seeks to fill the position of Department Head and Associate or Professor of
Spanish with open specialization; preference for Latin American Studies.  The
department seeks a scholar of Spanish who has a distinguished record of
teaching, research, advising, and service, and substantial relevant experience
in management, demonstrated commitment to teamwork, and strong communication
and networking skills to build internal and external contacts on behalf of the
department.  The broadly-trained professional will have the potential for
successful academic leadership, clear ability to articulate and guide a
strategic vision for the department’s future, compatible with existing
strengths and opportunities.  Experience with a multifaceted department with
master’s level institution experience is desirable.  Candidates should be
qualified for appointment as a tenured associate or full professor.   Salary
is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and the personal
characteristics required to assume this demanding and significant position
requiring administrative leadership.  Applicants should submit a cover letter
