Description:

The Department of German Studies at the University of Göttingen, Germany, has an opening for a doctoral position (part-time appointment, 50% TV-L E13) in grammatical theory with a focus on constraint-based analysis of German. 
The position starts on February 1, 2015 (or later). The position is limited initially to three years. 

Duties and responsibilities:
Your tasks include the organization and execution of lecture courses according to § 31 NHG and the participation in performance reviews, as well as the participation in the application for and execution of research projects. 

Requirements:
We welcome applications of candidates holding a Master's degree (or equivalent) in German language studies, Linguistics or a related field. We expect a successful candidate to have a solid background in theoretical grammar (HPSG or other framework) and the grammar of German, and a genuine interest in the theoretical analysis of empirical results. Previous experience with corpus research methods and/or psycholinguistic experimental methods will be an advantage.
