Meeting Description:

DiGS17 will be held at the University of Iceland, Reykjavík, 29–31 May 2015. It is hosted by the Institute of Linguistics at the University of Iceland.

DiGS (Diachronic Generative Syntax) is an established international conference dedicated to the investigation of historical syntax and syntactic change from a generative perspective. Papers on syntactic change in real time and syntactic change in heritage languages are especially encouraged this time.

DiGS17 will be preceded by a workshop entitled The Second Workshop on Formal Ways of Analyzing Variation, FWAV2, on 28 May. The FWAV-workshop is a venue for research that relates linguistic variation and formal analysis. FWAV2 aims to follow up on the success of FWAV1, which was held in Reykjavík 2013, and as FWAV2 is co-located with DiGS17, it is hoped that some of the workshop presentations will make use of the various historical treebanks that are familiar to many researchers in diachronic syntax. 2nd Call for Papers:

This is a reminder (or Second Call for Papers) for DiGS17, which will be held at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík 29-31 May 2015. DiGS17 will be preceded by a workshop entitled The Second Workshop on Formal Ways of Analyzing Variation, FWAV2, on 28 May.

The deadline for submitting abstracts (via the EasyChair system) for the conference and for the workshop is November 30.
