Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Yale is seeking to appoint a postdoctoral
researcher in phonology for a period of up to two years (non-renewable)
beginning July 1, 2015 or shortly thereafter. Phonologists with experience in
fieldwork, prosody, phonetics, and/or laboratory phonology are particularly
encouraged to apply.

The postdoctoral associate will participate fully in and contribute to the
intellectual life of the department. (S)he will interact with faculty and
students on research and will teach at least one course or seminar per year
(possibly jointly).

Applicants should submit a cover letter describing their research interests, a
current CV, and two or three representative pieces of research. Applicants
should also arrange for three reference letters to be submitted on their
behalf. All materials should be submitted through Academic Jobs Online (the

Applications received by January 31, 2015 will receive the fullest
consideration, although we will continue to review candidates until the
position is filled.

All requirements for the doctoral degree must be completed by the start of the
appointment.
