The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Erfurt (Germany) invites
applications for the position of Professor (W2/W3 status) of Second Language
Acquisition and English Language Teaching
 
The successful applicant will conduct research in the areas of Second Language
Acquisition and English Language Teaching. They will offer relevant seminars
and lectures in our B.A., M.A. and M.Ed. programmes in English Studies,
Applied Linguistics and ELT.

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or other doctoral qualification in a
relevant field. As internationally recognized scholars in their area of
expertise, candidates are expected to have an excellent record of research,
publication and teaching commensurate with the position. 

The general prerequisites for employment are specified in §77 Thüringer
Hochschulgesetz.

In accordance with §79(2) Thüringer Hochschulgesetz, first appointments are
subject to a probationary period of at least three years. However, exceptions
are possible.
