Description:

Candidates are sought for a tenure track position in linguistics, with a
specialization in phonology and morphology. 

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Linguistics, have knowledge of modern
theories of phonology and morphology, and have a demonstrated ability to carry
out independent research in these areas. Familiarity with Semitic linguistics
and the phonology and morphology of Semitic languages is an advantage.
 
Responsibilities of the position include undergraduate and graduate teaching
in the Department of Linguistics, and various departments in the School of
Language Sciences;  carrying out first rate research; supervising research
students; and participation in departmental administration.

The language of instruction at the Hebrew University is Hebrew, but candidates
who do not possess a mastery of Hebrew will be given the time to acquire
facility of Hebrew during the first years of their appointment.
