Description:

The Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Arts of the University of
Ottawa invites applications for a tenure track position in syntax at the
Assistant Professor level, commencing July 1 2015. At the time of appointment,
applicants should have a Ph.D. in linguistics with evidence of strong research
potential. The ability to teach in French at the time of appointment would be
an important asset but is not required. However, active competence in French
will be a condition of tenure. For more details on our programs, please visit

The salary is determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement. 

Applicants should submit a CV, representative samples of their research, and
arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be sent directly to Dr. Éric
Mathieu, Chair, Department of Linguistics. All documents should preferably be
sent by email (below). If email is not convenient, the following postal
address below should be used.

menant à la permanence au rang de professeur adjoint, débutant le 1er juillet
