Meeting Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Ottawa is pleased to
announce that it will be hosting a joint meeting of the Bilingual Workshop in
Theoretical Linguistics (BWTL) and the Ottawa Conference for Linguistics
Undergraduates (OCLU) on November 28 and 29. BWTL is a workshop for graduate
students, professors and other researchers in theoretical linguistics (not
necessarily bilingualism) while OCLU is a conference for undergraduate
students. This joint event will be a great opportunity for students and other
researchers to present their research.


Call for Papers:

Presentations may be delivered in English or in French. OCLU presentations will be 15 minutes long with 5 minutes for discussion while BWTL presentations will be 20 minutes with 10 minutes for discussion. Abstracts should be submitted no later than Monday, October 20. Acceptances will be announced on October 27. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words long, excluding title and references. Please submit an anonymous version of the abstract in PDF or Word format. In the subject heading of the email, please indicate ''OCLU abstract submission'' or ''BWTL abstract submission''.

Please indicate the following information:

- Title of abstract
- Area of linguistics addressed by abstract (e.g. syntax, phonology, psycholinguistics, etc.)
- Name(s) of presenter(s)
- Department/affiliation
- Email address of each presenter

OCLU abstracts should be sent to fauve.duquette.laplante at gmail.com, while BWTL abstracts should be sent to brandon.j.fry at uottawa.ca.
